"Si tratta di un'installazione composta da 16 cassette radiografiche (trovate in ex ospedali abbandonati), di varie dimensioni. Un'installazione che ricerca la trascendenza dei luoghi rappresentati. Una struttura che dall'alto della sua aspirazione viene osservata nel suo network di cassette radiografiche. Poi progressivamente, l'ordine della presentazione, la tranquillità della sua sistemazione ci invoglia ad entrare in essa. Si scoprono le immagini, con la loro cornice antica che semichiusi diventano semi aperti e svelano il documento fotografico. La fotografia è apparentemente quella tradizionale ma l'immagine si infrange tra il suo negativo e il suo positivo. L'osservatore viene catturato in un limbo del documento e del suo rispettivo non-documento. L'avvicinamento al soggetto, la scoperta indirizzata dalla trama dell'autore si trasforma in asetticità emotiva, che non trova via di scampo se non nella ricerca ancora più assidua delle variazioni bicromatiche. I neri che diventano bianchi e i bianchi che si materializzano in pesanti neri diventano le trame della società contemporanea. Le briglie di un codice a barre sequenziale, mai cadenzato, variabile e anarchico.
L'installazione carmenica è una lotta per la trascendenza tra le pieghe del passato contemporaneo. Siamo tutti racchiusi, imprigionati dal passato, che raffiora e l'opera si trasforma in una prova se siamo in grado di capire questo passaggio, non proprio del nostro mondo occidentale. La natura altamente concettuale di questa installazione è l'ultima opportunità in questa mostra per notificare definitivamente il processo di smaltimento della fotografia come struttura bidimensionale e trovare nella meta-funzione del linguaggio l'effettiva liberazione da vecchi stilemi."
"This is an Installation composed of 16 radiographic cassettes of various sizes, which have been found inside old forsaken hospitals. The aim of the installation is to search for the transcendence of the represented places. The structure is projected with the aim to be observed, in its network of cassettes, from all the inspiration. Then, progressively, the performance’s order, melted with the tranquillity of its arrangement, encourages the spectator to come into the work. The images disclose themselves, with their ancient frame, from half-closed they become semi-open and so they reveal the photographic document. Apparently, the photograph seems the traditional one, but the image shatters between its positive and its negative. The observer is caught in a limbo of the document and its respective non-document. The approach to the subject, the discovery directed by the author's plot transforms into emotional asepticity, which finds no way out except in the even more assiduous search for two-tone variations. Blacks turning white and whites materializing into heavy blacks become the plots of contemporary society. The bridle of a sequential bar code, never cadenced, variable, and anarchic.
The installation is a struggle for transcendence in the folds of the contemporary past. We are all imprisoned by the past, which resurfaces, and the work turns into a test, if we are able to understand this transition, not really of our Western world. The highly conceptual nature of this installation is the last opportunity in this exhibition to definitively notify the disposal process of photography as a two-dimensional structure and find in the meta-function of language the effective liberation from old styles."
